Fix the Windows Feedback Hub When It’s Not Working

Is the feedback hub in your Windows 10 or 11 PC not working properly? Have you got problems with feedback hub like crashes, freezes or being a general nuisance? Here are the things you should do wen having such problems. Using these troubleshooting steps, you can fix the windows feedback hub when it’s not working.

Why feedback hub is important? It’s an easy way to make your voice heard. You can use it for report issues to Microsoft and contribute to the future of windows. You can also vote on other users’ posts. The most important thing is you can use feedback hub in both windows 10 and windows 11.

If the feedback hub gives you many benefits, sometimes it doesn’t work as expected. Sometimes it can be slow or make crashes and make difficulties when you are submitting feedback. Sometimes it won’t let you to vote on others feedbacks. And it can take too long to load. If you have such problems with your feedback hub, there are some troubleshooting tips that can be used for fix them.

1. Update Windows

If you have got any kind of problems with your operating system, the first thing you should do is check for updates in your operating system. Because if you have not updated to the latest version of windows 10 or 11, it can cause for errors in your system. Specially, Microsoft applications have this problem.

Its easy to check updates. For it follow steps that given below.

  1. Firstly, Press Windows Key + I to open Settings
  2. If your operating system is Windows 10, select Update & Security > Windows Update. If your operating system is Windows 11, then select Windows Update from the menu on the left.
  3. There will be a option called Check for updates. Click it. It will show you whether you have got available updates or not. If you have updates, then download and install them.

2. Update the Feedback Hub

With above step, your operating system is updated to its latest version. The next thing you should do is check whether your feedback hub application is updated or not. There are two ways to check this. The way you should choose is depend on the fact that you can access to the application or not.

If you can access to this application, Go to the application and you can see settings in the bottom left. Click one settings and next click one check for updates.

If you cannot access to this application, Go to the Microsoft store and search feedback hub. Then click on it. In the lest hand menu, there will be a option named update. Just click on it. This will fix the windows feedback hub problems.

3. Repair and reset the Feedback

If above steps didn’t work and still you got the same problem, next thing you should do is try to use the Windows App Repair Tool. You can use Windows App Repair Tool for all Microsoft Store apps, not only the Feedback Hub. It will do a quick scan and will find the problems and fix them. The most useful thing is it will not delete any data you have stored in the Feedback Hub.

Here are the steps. you need to follow,

  1. Press Windows Key + I and open Settings.
  2. Go to Apps > Apps & features.
  3. Look for Feedback Hub in the list of apps.
  4. If your operating system is Windows 10, select the feedback hub from the list. If your operating system is Windows 11, then click on the three vertical dots.
  5. In here, Choose Advanced Options.
  6. Click on repair, which is in under the reset.

Windows App Repair Tool doesn’t show what it’s scanning or if it managed to fix anything. The only thing it shows is a check mark. It will appear next to the button after the repair process is complete. After you see this check mark, please launch the feedback hub to see if the issue is fixed or not.

If the problem was not fixed go back to the Windows Settings screen and click Reset. This will clear the app’s data, settings, and login information. It will reset the app to default settings also. If the screen shows a check mark again, which means the process is completed.

4. Run the Windows Store app troubleshooter

Windows Store app troubleshooter that indicated from Microsoft, will fix any issues that may be preventing your Windows Store apps from working properly. It also troubleshoot feedback hub. The steps for troubleshooting is different from windows 10 and windows 11.

If your operating system is windows 10, follow these instructions.

  1. Press Windows Key + I and open Settings
  2. Next select Update & security.
  3. Select Troubleshoot from the menu on the left.
  4. Choose Additional troubleshooters.
  5. Choose Windows Store apps.
  6. Choose Run the troubleshooter.

If your operating system is windows 11, follow these instructions.

  1. Press Windows Key + I and open Settings
  2. Next select system.
  3. Select Troubleshoot from the main menu.
  4. Choose other troubleshooters.
  5. Next find Windows store apps and select Run.

The thing which troubleshooter doing here is find the error and fix them. Sometimes it will show you to what to do for fix the errors.

5.Re-register Feedback Hub

There is another common way to fix errors in Microsoft store apps. It is re-register the app. To fix problems in feedback hub, you can try to re-register. For this you need to use PowerShell. The PowerShell is a task automation framework. Here are the steps to follow for this purpose.

  1. Perform a system search for the PowerShell.
  2. Right click on the result and select Run as administrator.
  3. In PowerShell, type the following and press Enter.

Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\\AppXManifest.xml”}

In this process, if you got some error, you might forget to run PowerShell as administrator. If you have done this steps correctly now you can see green section at the top of PowerShell to show the progress. It will take few minutes to complete this process. After it is completed, restart your system. And then oped feedback hub. Reregistering the feedback hub will fix the windows feedback hub problems.

6. Reinstall Feedback Hub

If all the above steps fail and still you got an error, the only thing now you have to do is to uninstall and reinstall Feedback Hub. Even if the Feedback Hub was pre-installed on your system, you can do this.

To uninstall the feedback hub, follow these steps.

  1. Press Windows Key + I and open Settings,
  2. Go to Apps > Apps & features.
  3. Locate Feedback Hub in the list of apps.
  4. If your operating system is Windows 10, select the feedback hub from the list. If your operating system is Windows 11, then click on the three vertical dots.
  5. If you are in windows 10, select uninstall. If you are in windows 11, click twice.

To reinstall the feedback hub, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Microsoft apps store.
  2. Search Feedback hub and select it.
  3. Click Install in Windows 10 and click Get in Windows 11 in the menu on the left.
  4. Just wait for the download and installation to complete, then click Open.

Now feedback hub should work correctly without any problems. If you have downloaded the latest version and have you got still some problems the new version may be buggy for everyone. The only thing you can do is wait until Microsoft to release a fix.

Should you upgrade to Windows 11 from windows 10?

If you are using windows 10, its better to upgrade to windows 11. Windows 10 is still a powerful operating system. Microsoft also will continue to support it until October 2025. But Microsoft is putting most of its energy into Windows 11. There fore if you have got issues in windows 10 and there is a chance to solutions for these will get implemented on windows 11.
